Project developed during the MA editorial module of Advanced Typography, at EINA School.

The brief indicated the creation of a graphic system for some of the key pages that will guide the overall design of the newspaper. The target is represented by young people, between 18-40, middle class, with a progressive sensitivity, university level studies and engaged in social activities.

URBAN’s characteristics are:
– young and dynamic,
– local, connected with the readers´ reality
– bold when analyzing controversial facts
– independent from any political party
– interactive with the readerKeeping in mind that the reading navigation process has become much more dynamic with the development of the virtual communication, the fundamental creative idea of URBAN is a subtle perspective effect within the reading levels. The main text has the same level as the white surface, but the rest of the elements show different levels of standing out and catching the readers´ attention.
